Access to finance for innovative SMEs in the Baltic Sea Region
The aim of the JOSEFIN project is to improve and innovate instruments, programmes and policies of participating regions in order to promote regional development, knowledge-based regional economies, technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
JOSEFIN has started on 01.02.2009.
As from 1st April, Ms. Irene Schucht and Mr. Thomas Hüttich took over the management of the project within the lead partner organisation Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB). Mr. Torsten Mehlhorn is approaching a new professional path, which unfortunately implies that he is leaving the IBB and his activities within JOSEFIN are coming to an end, leaving behind plenty of useful experiences. Hence, he is handing over to the newly designated project director Ms. Schucht, head of the "Product Portfolio Management" unit of IBB and project manager Mr. Hüttich, product development specialist at IBB.
Both are responsible at IBB for developing and implementing new financial instruments, but also have valuable experience in the management of EU-funded INTERREG cooperations such as EQUAL CREDIT, TRATOKI (as lead partner) and FinNetSME (as main partner). The common objective of all their activities is to improve access to finance for SMEs.
Backed by Ms. Andrea Kohl, they constitute the energetic JOSEFIN team within the IBB and look forward to closely working together with all JOSEFIN partners on a prosperous project future.
